Role Description As a Backend Developer Intern at AlienHouse Networks, you will support the development and maintenance of server-side applications and APIs for web platforms. Day-to-day tasks include writing and testing backend code, troubleshooting issues, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with front-end and design teams to integrate user-facing elements with server logic. You will assist in database interactions, contribute to documentation, and participate in code reviews to learn best practices in secure, scalable backend development. This is a remote internship role, offering hands-on experience in a professional environment with guidance from experienced developers.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development.
Candidates should possess skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming fundamentals.
Candidates should possess basic skills in Front-End Development to support integration with backend services.
Familiarity with at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) and relational or NoSQL databases is beneficial.
Understanding of RESTful APIs, version control (e.g., Git), and secure coding practices is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a remote, collaborative environment.
Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree or training program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
