Position Overview
The Assistant Manager – F&B plays a key leadership role in driving seamless dining operations, developing service teams, and elevating the overall guest experience. This position is best suited for individuals with strong operational expertise, leadership capabilities, commercial awareness, and the ability to deliver attentive, personalised service with elegance and precision.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee smooth day-to-day F&B operations across restaurants, bar, IRD, and other service areas, ensuring operational excellence.
• Drive and uphold service standards that reflect The Postcard’s commitment to genuine luxury, personalized service, and guest delight.
• Lead and supervise service teams, ensuring discipline, grooming, performance, and high service readiness at all times.
• Coordinate closely with the culinary team to ensure efficient service flow, timely delivery, and consistent dining experiences.
• Oversee table setups, reservations, guest preferences, special requests, and personalized service delivery across outlets.
• Coach and develop team members through regular training on service techniques, etiquette, product knowledge, and brand standards.
• Take ownership of guest feedback and service recovery, ensuring effective solutions and personalized attention that exceed expectations.
• Monitor inventory, requisitions, wastage, and cost-control measures while driving operational efficiency and departmental profitability.
• Lead the planning and execution of special events, private dining, celebrations, and curated guest experiences.
Candidate Profile
• Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or related discipline.
• 5 – 7 years of experience in luxury hotels or fine-dining environments, with relevant supervisory/leadership experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with confidence in handling discerning guests.
• Strong understanding of F&B operations, service styles, wine knowledge (preferred), menu familiarity, and commercial aspects of the business.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams with elegance, discipline, and calmness under pressure.
• Impeccable grooming, strong attention to detail, sound operational judgement, and refined service behaviour.
