Backend Developer Intern (Node.js)

Role Description The Backend Developer Intern (Node.js) will be a full-time, on-site role based in Gorakhpur. The intern will assist in developing and maintaining server-side logic using Node.js, building APIs, and integrating databases to support web and mobile applications. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, debugging and resolving backend issues, collaborating with front-end developers to ensure smooth data flow, and participating in code reviews. The role also involves working with senior engineers to enhance performance, security, and scalability of existing services, as well as contributing to documentation and basic testing.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
Knowledge of Back-End Web Development with a focus on Node.js and related frameworks
Basic understanding of Front-End Development to collaborate effectively with UI teams
Interest in Software Development practices, including version control, testing, and documentation
Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and RESTful API design is beneficial
Ability to learn quickly, follow coding standards, and work collaboratively in an on-site team setting
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
Good problem-solving skills and clear written and verbal communication in English

What you’ll work on:
Build REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
Work with PostgreSQL, database schemas, and SQL queries.
Help implement authentication, role-based access, and business workflows.
Collaborate with frontend developers on API integration.
Debug issues, write tests, and maintain technical documentation.
What we’re looking for:

Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL, and Git/GitHub.
Understanding of promises and async/await.
Willingness to learn, communicate proactively, and take ownership.
