Role Description The Account Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kakori. The Account Assistant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including processing invoices, maintaining ledgers, handling petty cash transactions, and supporting routine financial documentation. The role involves assisting with credit control tasks, monitoring payments and receivables, and preparing basic financial reports for review by senior finance staff. The Account Assistant will also coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve account-related queries and ensure accurate, timely record-keeping. This position requires consistent collaboration, attention to detail, and adherence to company policies and financial procedures.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Accounting and basic Finance, including ledger maintenance, invoice processing, and understanding of financial documentation.
Candidates should possess skills in Credit Control, such as monitoring receivables, following up on outstanding payments, and supporting credit-related reporting.
Candidates should possess skills in managing Petty Cash, including tracking cash transactions, maintaining registers, and reconciling daily balances.
Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for coordinating with colleagues, clients, and vendors, and for clearly presenting account-related information.
Candidates should have proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), familiarity with accounting software, and strong numerical aptitude.
Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, integrity in handling financial data, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in an accounts or finance support role will be an advantage.
