Job Description
The Shopify Developer will own the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our e-commerce websites – from theme customisation and product management to checkout, payments, performance, and new features – ensuring a fast, reliable, and conversion-friendly experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, customise, and maintain Shopify websites; customise themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript.
• Manage products, variants, collections, pricing, images, and descriptions; build sections, banners,
landing pages, and campaign pages.
• Install, configure, and manage Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
• Set up and maintain payment options (COD/UPI), shipping, discounts, and checkout features.
• Identify and fix bugs, layout issues, product/variant errors, and checkout problems; monitor the site and
resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure full responsiveness across mobile, tablet, and desktop, and improve speed, performance, and
user experience.
• Implement basic SEO and conversion-optimisation improvements; coordinate with design, content, and
marketing teams on regular updates.
Desired Skills & Competencies
• 2+ years of hands-on Shopify development with strong command of Liquid, HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript.
• Experience in theme customisation and managing products, variants, collections, and apps.
• Working knowledge of payment and shipping integrations, e-commerce customer journeys, and basic SEO and site performance.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good to have: Shopify 2.0, UPI/COD integrations, Google Analytics & Tag Manager, Shopify APIs,
Git/GitHub, and D2C or FMCG e-commerce experience.
