We are looking for a Mid-Level Java Developer to support ongoing projects for a global client. This is a remote, independent contractor position offering a stable 40-hour workweek and an opportunity to work with an international team.

Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift: Starts around 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM IST, aligned with the client’s 9:00 AM start time in Austria

Requirements
4+ years of experience in Java development
Strong knowledge of Core Java and backend development
Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Java-based applications
Experience working in telecom, enterprise, or large-scale environments is highly preferred
Good understanding of software development best practices
Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with distributed teams
Comfortable working in a remote environment and collaborating with international stakeholders
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications
Work with cross-functional and distributed teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
Perform code reviews and contribute to improving code quality
Optimize application performance and reliability
Follow established development, security, and coding standards
Nice to Have
Experience with Spring/Spring Boot
Experience with REST APIs and microservices
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Experience working with high-volume or mission-critical applications
Experience in the telecommunications industry
