Role Description The Manager role at SBI General Insurance is a full-time, on-site position based in Nashik. The Manager will oversee branch operations, drive business growth, and ensure achievement of sales and service targets across assigned products and segments. Daily responsibilities include managing and supporting the local sales team, strengthening relationships with distribution partners and customers, and monitoring performance metrics and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role includes coordinating with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to enable smooth policy issuance, renewals, and claims servicing, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Manager will also contribute to local market development initiatives, support digital adoption, and prepare periodic reports and insights for senior leadership.
Qualifications
Business and leadership skills: ability to set targets, drive branch performance, lead teams, and manage stakeholder relationships.
Sales and customer management skills: experience in business development, key account handling, customer service, and retention in financial services or insurance.
Operational and compliance skills: familiarity with general insurance processes, regulatory guidelines, risk management, and documentation standards.
Analytical and reporting skills: capability to analyze data, track KPIs, prepare business reports, and derive actionable insights.
Digital and technical skills: comfort with insurance technology platforms, CRM tools, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); openness to digital-first ways of working.
Communication and interpersonal skills: strong verbal and written communication, negotiation ability, and collaborative working style.
Education and experience: bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; prior managerial experience in insurance, banking, or financial services preferred.
Other requirements: ability to work on-site in Nashik, willingness to travel locally as needed, and commitment to ethical, customer-centric decision-making.
