Role Description The Algebra Mentor role at EdifyChamps is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. In this role, the mentor will teach algebra concepts to school-age learners, conduct structured tutoring sessions, and provide clear explanations of topics such as equations, inequalities, functions, and word problems. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, creating practice exercises, assessing student progress, and adapting teaching strategies to different learning styles. The mentor will collaborate with the academic team to maintain curriculum standards, communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student performance, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in algebra and related mathematics topics, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and logically.
Experience in teaching or tutoring school-age students in math, ideally in a classroom or structured tutoring setting.
Ability to design lesson plans, practice sets, and assessments that align with curriculum goals and student learning objectives.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage learners, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with families and colleagues.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field; formal teacher training or certification is an advantage.
Comfort working on-site in Gurugram, with strong organizational skills and a student-centered, inclusive approach to mentoring.
