SAP SD Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP SD Consultant based in India.
This is a senior SAP consulting opportunity for an experienced professional with deep expertise in Sales and Distribution and Logistics Execution. You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering SAP solutions that support complex enterprise sales, logistics, and order-to-cash processes. The role offers significant involvement across SAP S/4HANA implementations, transformation programs, solution architecture, and ongoing optimization. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable and effective SAP solutions. Your expertise will also help shape integrations across critical SAP modules and guide technical teams through complex enhancements and interfaces. Accountabilities
Design, configure, and deliver SAP SD and Logistics Execution solutions aligned with business requirements, technical standards, and long-term scalability.
Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, transformation, and solution architecture engagements, contributing functional expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze and optimize end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, identifying gaps and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Configure and support core SAP SD processes covering sales order management, pricing, billing, shipping, transportation, and delivery.
Lead requirement-gathering discussions with business stakeholders and translate complex business needs into practical SAP solutions.
Design and support integrations between SAP SD/LE and related modules, including MM, FICO, and EWM/WM.
Provide functional leadership across solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, go-live, and post-production support.
Prepare functional specifications, solution design documents, process documentation, and other project deliverables.
Collaborate with technical teams on custom developments, enhancements, interfaces, integrations, and system improvements.
Support system testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, deployment activities, and successful go-live execution.
Recommend SAP best practices and scalable solutions while ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities.
Serve as a trusted functional consultant for stakeholders and contribute to successful delivery across complex enterprise SAP environments.
Requirements
Bring 15+ years of overall SAP experience, with strong hands-on expertise in SAP SD and SAP LE.
Demonstrate proven experience participating in at least 2–3 SAP S/4HANA implementation or architecture engagements.
Possess extensive knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution processes, particularly Order-to-Cash, pricing, billing, shipping, transportation, and delivery.
Have strong experience integrating SAP SD/LE with SAP MM, FICO, and EWM/WM.
Demonstrate expertise across requirements analysis, solution design, SAP configuration, testing, implementation, deployment, and production support.
Be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders, facilitating requirements discussions, explaining complex solutions, and providing trusted functional guidance.
Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Have experience operating within complex enterprise SAP environments with multiple business processes, integrations, and stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, MM, FICO, EWM/WM, O2C, and SAP solution design is highly desirable.
Be able to work independently in a senior consulting capacity while collaborating effectively with technical, functional, and business teams.
