Creative Writing Evaluator (AI Training)

We're looking for Creative Writing Evaluators to bring their literary instincts to one of the most fascinating challenges in AI — teaching machines to write with genuine style, voice, and originality.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to avid readers, writers, editors, and anyone with a sharp eye for what makes writing truly work. No publishing credits required — just a genuine passion for the craft and the ability to articulate what separates great writing from the forgettable kind.

What You'll Do
Read and evaluate AI-generated creative writing across genres — fiction, poetry, personal essays, satire, and more
Assess writing for quality, originality, voice, tone, coherence, and emotional resonance
Identify weaknesses such as clichés, unnatural phrasing, tonal inconsistencies, and logical gaps
Provide clear, constructive written feedback that helps AI systems produce more compelling and authentic writing
Rate outputs using structured evaluation frameworks while adding nuanced qualitative commentary
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
A genuine lover of reading and writing — you have strong opinions about what good writing looks and feels like
Able to evaluate writing quality across styles and genres with thoughtful, articulate feedback
Strong command of English language, grammar, and style
Comfortable working through substantial volumes of text with consistency and focus
Detail-oriented and self-motivated when working independently
No prior publishing, editing, or AI experience required
Nice to Have
Background in creative writing, English literature, journalism, or communications
Experience with editing, beta reading, or writing workshops
Familiarity with a range of literary genres and styles
Prior experience with content evaluation or quality assurance workflows
