Warehouse /Production - Technical Operator 1
Location of the job: Raeford, NC
Shif Assignment:
1st Shift: 6:00 am – 3:30 pm (Mon – Friday)
Pay Rate – $21.10| Weekly pay period

The Technical Operator for the Manual Clinical Cartoning Area is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of manual clinical cartoning and case packing processes to deliver high-quality products in accordance with Unilever standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The operator owns the day-to-day operation, inspection, and basic maintenance of the clinical cartooning line, including the Carton Conveyor, Manual Case Packer, Case Tape Sealer, and Manual Palletizing Operations.
Working as part of an autonomous team, the operator drives safety, quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement while ensuring accurate product traceability and documentation.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
Operate forklift to supply the area and move finished goods.
Use required systems, including SAP and Blue Yonder.
Follow all Unilever SHE standards.
Maintain a safe workplace and model safe behaviors.
Identify and escalate hazards, near misses, safety observations, and equipment issues.
Maintain 5S housekeeping and workplace organization.
Support waste reduction and sustainability efforts.
Safely operate and monitor the carton conveyor.
Maintain carton flow and quickly clear jams or obstructions.
Perform start-up, shutdown, and changeovers per SOPs.
Monitor conveyor performance and escalate recurring issues.
Verify products, cartons, inserts, and packaging materials before packing.
Pack cartons into cases per approved specifications.
Ensure correct product count, orientation, and shipper presentation.
Meet production rates while maintaining quality.
Operate case tape sealing equipment safely and effectively.
Verify tape application, case integrity, and seal quality.
Perform routine adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
Escalate mechanical concerns and equipment defects.
Build pallets per approved patterns and customer requirements.
Ensure pallet stability, product protection, and load quality.
Apply stretch wrap, labels, and pallet identification as needed.
Move completed pallets to staging per site procedures.
Comply with all GMP, clinical packaging, and quality requirements.
Verify materials, codes, labels, inserts, and batch information before use.
Complete quality checks per site standards and work instructions.
Complete production records, batch documentation, and traceability requirements.
Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products.
Support investigations, corrective actions, and audits as needed.
Attend daily shift meetings and performance reviews.
Provide clear shift handovers on issues and actions.
Collaborate with maintenance, quality, warehouse, planning, and leadership.
Support onboarding and training of new operators.
Demonstrate Unilever values and behaviors.
Follow GXP, including but is not limited to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Labor Practice (GLP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP)
What You’ll Need To Succeed
​• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production.
• Ability to follow work instructions and documentation requirements.
• Knowledge of safety protocols in job site, factory, warehouse, or construction settings.
• Ability to use UMS or similar tools to identify root causes and apply systematic solutions.
• Ability to motivate cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
• Strong computer, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including MS Office, Airsweb, OS Reporting Systems, and SAP.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with packaging or material-handling equipment.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail
