About The Role
Film Scene Description Specialist (AI Training)

We're looking for Film Scene Description Specialists to watch short video clips and translate what they see into rich, structured, beat-by-beat descriptions — helping cutting-edge AI systems learn how scenes are composed, paced, and emotionally communicated.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with a strong visual sensibility and a knack for clear, descriptive writing. No professional film industry experience required — just a genuine interest in how stories are told on screen.

What You'll Do
Watch short film and video clips and break each scene into structured visual beats
Describe camera angles, movement, framing, pacing, blocking, and spatial relationships
Capture mood, tone, and emotional intent using purely visual indicators — no dialogue references
Produce clean, consistent scene summaries and beat-by-beat breakdowns following standardized formatting
Re-watch clips as needed to ensure precision and accuracy
Maintain quality and consistency across a high volume of scene descriptions
Who You Are
Genuinely interested in film, television, or visual storytelling
Able to articulate what you see on screen in clear, structured prose
Strong descriptive writing skills with an eye for detail
Comfortable working methodically and independently on task-based assignments
Self-motivated and consistent when working at volume
No professional filmmaking or cinematography background required
Nice to Have
Background in film studies, screenwriting, photography, or media production
Experience with shot composition, editing theory, or visual narrative
Familiarity with film terminology (e.g., mise-en-scène, coverage, eyeline)
