Role Description This is a full-time on-site Technician role based in Guwahati. The Technician will install, configure, test, and maintain security and automation systems, including home and building automation, audio-video equipment, entrance automation, and fire safety solutions. The role involves conducting site visits, performing troubleshooting and repairs, and ensuring systems operate according to technical specifications and safety standards. The Technician will collaborate with project managers and engineers, document work performed, train end-users on system operation, and provide ongoing technical support. The position requires adherence to company procedures, timely completion of tasks, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality workmanship.
Qualifications
Technical background in electronics, electrical engineering, or related fields, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining automation, security, audio-video, or similar low-voltage systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including diagnosing hardware and software issues on-site.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, routers, switches) and familiarity with system integration.
Attention to safety practices and compliance with relevant standards and guidelines for fire safety and electronic security.
Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Ability to work in the field, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
Diploma or degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation) or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in security and automation or related industries in the North-East region is an advantage.
Willingness to travel within the region as required and adapt to flexible work schedules based on project needs.
