The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and evolution of modern cloud infrastructure and platforms.
This is a hands-on, cloud-focused role requiring strong expertise in AWS, cloud-native technologies, DevOps, automation, security, and cloud transformation.
You will work closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams to build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS and hybrid cloud architectures.
Lead cloud migration, modernisation, and cloud adoption initiatives.
Architect cloud-native solutions using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Lambda, and serverless technologies.
Design cloud networking solutions including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Load Balancers, and WAF.
Drive Infrastructure-as-Code and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Ansible.
Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud automation.
Embed security and governance across cloud environments, including IAM, KMS, encryption, logging, and monitoring.
Drive cloud observability, reliability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to Cloud, DevOps, and Infrastructure Engineers.
Work closely with senior stakeholders to define cloud architecture standards and technology roadmaps.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, or Technology Architecture.
5+ years of hands-on Cloud Architecture experience, with strong AWS expertise.
Strong experience with AWS services, cloud-native architecture, and hybrid cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience, particularly Terraform.
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, and automation.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, routing, and load balancing.
Experience with cloud security, including IAM, KMS, encryption, and governance.
Knowledge of cloud monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell is advantageous.
Experience in cloud migration, modernisation, and large-scale transformation programmes.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
