Head of Information Technology

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of IT / COE Lead to establish, lead, and scale our offshore IT operations. This role will be responsible for driving technology strategy, building high-performing teams, overseeing IT delivery, and ensuring alignment with business objectives across global offices. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, including the IT Director and department heads, to enhance operational excellence and technology innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the IT Center of Excellence (COE).
Develop and implement new technology initiatives while continuously optimizing existing processes and operations.
Build, lead, and scale a high-performing offshore IT organization.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and deliver key IT projects.
Recruit, mentor, and retain top technology talent to support organizational growth.
Establish and enhance IT governance, operational frameworks, and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate closely with the IT Director and leadership teams across global locations to ensure alignment of objectives and delivery outcomes.
Drive innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled development tools and automation solutions.
Manage stakeholder expectations and foster strong cross-functional partnerships across distributed teams.
Required Qualifications
Proven leadership experience managing large-scale technology teams of 80+ professionals.
Demonstrated success in establishing and scaling offshore IT delivery centers or development teams.
Strong people management capabilities, including talent acquisition, employee development, succession planning, and retention.
Extensive experience designing and optimizing IT processes, governance frameworks, and operational models.
Deep understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
Strong expertise in modern software architectures, including microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.
Broad knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, applications, and systems.
Hands-on familiarity with technology stacks such as C#, .NET, Java, Networking, and Security technologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and time zones.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Mandatory domain experience in Trading, Capital Markets, or Wealth Management.
Exposure to Agentic AI, GitHub Copilot, and AI-driven software engineering practices.
Preferred Certifications
TOGAF Certification
AWS Cloud Certification (Associate level or higher)
