Senior HVAC Design Engineer

Role Description The Senior HVAC Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Ahmedabad Area. This role is responsible for designing HVAC systems for pharmaceutical facilities and clean rooms, including load calculations, equipment selection, ducting and piping layout, and system integration with other building services. The engineer will prepare detailed drawings and technical documentation, review and validate designs for compliance with regulatory and industry standards, and coordinate with architecture, civil, electrical, and MEP teams to ensure cohesive project execution. Day-to-day activities include working closely with project managers, supporting installation and commissioning teams, resolving design-related issues, and participating in client discussions to refine system requirements and value-engineered solutions.
Strong expertise in HVAC Design and HVAC system engineering for pharma or clean room environments.
Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and related Calculations for load, airflow, and system sizing.
Working knowledge of Plumbing design and integration with overall MEP systems.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Hands-on experience with HVAC design software and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP or similar).
Familiarity with relevant standards and guidelines (e.g., GMP, ISO cleanroom standards, local building codes).
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and feasibility reports and convert them into practical designs.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and safety.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional engineering and project teams.
Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare facility projects is highly beneficial.
