About the role
Marklytics builds Digital Product Passport (DPP) infrastructure for manufacturers preparing for EU regulatory compliance. Our platform issues verifiable product passports for batteries, solar modules and vehicles, and serves enterprise manufacturing clients across the UK, India and Southeast Asia.We're hiring a full-stack engineer whose strongest area is AWS.
What you will own
AWS infrastructure across dev, staging and production, defined as code (CDK or Terraform)
CI/CD pipelines, the release process and environment promotion
Observability: structured logging, metrics and alerting, so you can answer "what happened?" when a client asks
Infrastructure cost: understanding it, reporting on it, and keeping per-passport unit cost in line
Backend work: APIs, data models, background jobs and integration endpoints
Frontend work on the platform and on client-facing passport pages
What we expect you to have done
Deployed and operated production services on AWS yourself
Written infrastructure as code, and understood why it matters
Built and shipped production web applications end to end, not just an assigned slice
Debugged a production problem you couldn't reproduce locally
Worked with a relational database beyond basic CRUD, including indexes, migrations and query performance
Required
3–5 years of professional full-stack engineering experience, including 2+ years of hands-on AWS
AWS: ECS or Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch and VPC fundamentals
Infrastructure as code: AWS CDK, Terraform or CloudFormation
CI/CD: GitHub Actions or equivalent
Backend: Node.js/TypeScript or Python, REST API design, PostgreSQL
Frontend: React and TypeScript, comfortable owning a feature from schema to screen
Git discipline, real participation in code review, and writing tests as a matter of course
Clear written English, since architecture decisions and escalations happen in writing
Nice to have
Multi-tenant SaaS experience
Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, ESG or compliance
Data pipeline or ETL work, especially with messy supplier or ERP data
Cryptographic signing, hashing or verifiable data structures
AWS certification.
