The Commercial Finance Director (Mets) is accountable for Hilton London Metropole and Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
You will be responsible for understanding and driving financial performance and ensuring challenge and insight across the hotels. The role reports to the Snr Director Finance UK & Ireland.
The role will business partner with the hotel General Managers and requires developing excellent working relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including Operations Finance, Hotel Operations, Commercial VPs, Central Functional leadership, Finance Shared Service Centres, Leaseholders, Owners and Asset Managers and the broader commercial finance team.
The Commercial Finance Director will lead in influencing the commercial finance agenda across the Hotel Commercial Leadership team; developing strong business partnering relationships, providing constructive challenge, insight, and quantification of trade-offs to deliver against strategic priorities.
You will have responsibility for identifying emerging risks and opportunities, providing robust and appropriate financial advice on commercial activities and making suitable recommendations to drive value.
The role has one direct report of a Commercial Finance Manager.
What are we looking for?
Minimum of 7 years of relevant and progressive accounting or finance experience.
Minimum of 4 years in a managerial role.
Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate effective goals, objectives and priorities with a long term perspective.
Strong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers).
Financial and operational analytical skills (operational analysis).
Knowledge of departmental and hotel operations.
Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and in making sound decisions.
Ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
Leadership and organizational skills (team orientation, flexible, adaptable).
Ability to analyse large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts projections.
Proficiency in MS Office suite applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
University degree in Accounting or Finance
Hotel level or industry experience
