Role Description The Branch Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanpur, responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with bank branches and customers to drive life insurance business. This role involves engaging with branch staff to generate leads, providing product guidance, and supporting them in achieving sales and service targets. The Branch Relationship Manager will meet customers to understand their protection and retirement needs, recommend suitable solutions, and ensure high-quality post-sales service and policy servicing. Daily activities include tracking branch performance, preparing reports, coordinating with internal teams for underwriting and claims, and conducting regular training sessions for branch personnel on PNB MetLife products and processes. The role also requires adherence to regulatory and company compliance standards while maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting branch-level marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong relationship management and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust with bank staff and retail customers.
Proven sales, negotiation, and business development capabilities, preferably in insurance, banking, or financial services.
Solid understanding of life insurance products, financial planning concepts, and basic regulatory guidelines (IRDAI norms preferred).
Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to conduct trainings, explain products, and handle customer queries.
Ability to work in a branch-based environment, manage multiple stakeholders, and meet performance targets consistently.
Comfort with basic MS Office tools and reporting, including sales tracking and pipeline management.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a postgraduate degree in business, finance, or a related field is an advantage.
Relevant experience in branch banking, insurance sales, or financial advisory is highly desirable.
