Founded by IITians, GrowthEd currently teaches over 50,000+ students enrolled across 50+ schools across India.
About the Role
We are looking for a confident, presentable, and articulate Business Development Manager to who will drive regional B2B sales targets for onboarding K-12 schools, conduct discovery conversations, and deliver end-to-end product demonstrations for decision-makers such as school owners, directors, or principals. In addition to individual contributor responsibilities, they will act as a Regional Sales Head, managing and mentoring a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) where applicable. They will ensure seamless execution across the regional sales pipeline, from initial lead handover to deal closure and team performance management.
This is a leadership and consultative sales role combining team management, regional strategy, and direct sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
Drive regional B2B revenue and sales targets for onboarding K-12 schools across designated territories.
Act as Regional Sales Head, overseeing regional sales operations and managing a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) where applicable.
Guide, train, and mentor SDRs to optimize lead generation, qualification, and meeting conversion rates.
Engage professionally with school owners, directors, principals, academic coordinators, and other decision-makers to understand their academic, operational, administrative, and technology-related needs.
Conduct structured discovery conversations and end-to-end product demonstrations, explaining GrowthEd’s offerings, features, workflows, use cases and value in simple, practical language.
Customise presentations and demonstrations according to the school’s size, priorities, audience, and level of technical understanding.
Recommend the most suitable GrowthEd solutions based on each school’s requirements and identify relevant opportunities for additional offerings.
Address initial questions and concerns related to product usability, implementation, adoption, technology, and value.
Coordinate with the product, implementation, marketing, sales, and leadership teams to support the school’s decision-making process.
Conduct follow-up discussions with interested schools and share relevant proposals, resources, and next steps.
Maintain accurate records of meeting discussions, requirements, feedback, objections, and follow-up actions.
Represent GrowthEd at school visits, education conferences, exhibitions, seminars, and industry events.
Share timely feedback on school interest, lead quality, customer needs, feature requests, and market insights with the relevant internal teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven leadership and team management capabilities to guide and mentor SDRs.
Strong strategic thinking and regional sales planning abilities to drive B2B revenue goals.
Excellent communication and conversational skills with senior stakeholders.
Good listener with a consultative sales approach.
Comfortable presenting technology-based products in virtual and in-person meetings.
Organised with strong follow-up skills.
Passionate about education and technology.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education, communications, liberal arts or technology.
Experience in EdTech, school partnerships, SAAS, product demonstrations, solution consulting, client servicing will be an advantage.
Prior experience interacting with principals, school owners, teachers, or academic leaders is preferred but not mandatory.
