We are looking for a Remote Service Engineer to join their team providing first line technical support to customers across the UK & Europe.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
Provide first point of contact for HPLC, GC-MS instrument repairs, resolving issues via telephone and video call
For any escalated issues you will work closely with the Field Service team helping to organise site visits and bringing them up to speed on the instrument issues
Travel on-site with the Field Service teams for installations and training
Identify areas for process / product improvement
To Be Considered For This Position You Will Have/be
BSc, MSc in a relevant Scientific field
Experience troubleshooting & maintaining complex scientific instrumentation
Knowledge of HPLC, GC, MS instruments and associated software
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a scientific or field service environment
Comfortable with occasional travel (~20%)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with customers in challenging situations
