" Facets Development Lead.
Role Overview.
The Facets Development Lead provides technical leadership for Facets implementation, modernization, integration, and custom development initiatives.
This role is responsible for designing solutions, supporting the offshore development team, ensuring delivery quality, and serving as the primary technical lead for client-facing Facets projects.
The ideal candidate combines deep Facets platform expertise with healthcare payer domain knowledge and strong leadership skills to drive successful project delivery.
_Key Responsibilities:_*
Technical Leadership
Lead the design, development, and deployment of Facets-based solutions and custom extensions.
Define technical architecture and development standards for Facets implementations.
Review and approve technical designs, code quality, and development approaches.
Provide guidance on Facets data model, claims adjudication workflows, extensions, integrations, and modernization initiatives.
Development Delivery
Direct offshore development teams and provide day-to-day technical leadership.
Assign and review development work, remove technical blockers, and mentor developers.
Manage software development lifecycle activities including design, development, testing, deployment, and go-live support.
Run daily standup meetings, support Agile delivery processes, sprint planning, estimation, and technical backlog management.
Integration & Custom Development
Lead development of Facets integrations, APIs, interfaces, data extracts, and custom extensions.
Design and oversee integrations between Facets and external applications such as Payment Integrity, claims platforms, and downstream systems.
Develop technical specifications, mapping documents, and integration architecture deliverables.
_Stakeholder & Client Engagement;_
Partner with solution architects, project managers, configuration leads, and client technical teams.
Participate in solution workshops, technical design sessions, and requirements discussions.
Communicate technical risks, dependencies, and recommendations to leadership and project stakeholders.
Serve as the primary technical escalation point throughout project delivery.
_Quality & Governance._:
Ensure adherence to development standards, coding practices, security requirements, and release governance.
Review and support unit testing, integration testing, system testing, UAT, and production deployment activities.
Establish technical quality controls and promote reusable development assets and best practices.
Desired Experience
Required.
7+ years of healthcare payer technology experience.
7+ years of hands-on Facets development experience.
Strong experience with Facets Extensions, APIs, batch processing, interfaces, custom development, Facets data model, and architecture.
Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
Understanding of healthcare payer operations, e.g.:.
Claims adjudication.
Enrollment.
Provider and benefit administration.
Pricing.
Payment workflows.
Prior technical and/or development lead and team management experience.
Preferred.
Experience with Facets Connector implementations and Payment Integrity integrations.
Experience with Facets cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Knowledge of QNXT, HealthEdge, and related healthcare payer platforms."
