Role Description
We are seeking a technically capable, detail-oriented, and solution-driven Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. The role involves developing practical engineering solutions that meet project requirements, safety standards, technical specifications, and applicable regulations.
Key responsibilities include preparing electrical designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, technical reports, and project documentation. You will assist with the planning and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, wiring, protection systems, and related electrical equipment.
The role also involves reviewing technical drawings, evaluating equipment and materials, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and other engineering disciplines, and supporting project implementation. You will participate in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, inspections, and resolving technical issues to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
You will monitor project progress, maintain accurate technical records, identify potential risks, and recommend appropriate solutions. The position also requires keeping up with relevant electrical standards, engineering practices, safety requirements, and technological developments.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, power systems, electrical circuits, control systems, and equipment.
Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, safety regulations, and engineering practices.
Ability to interpret and prepare electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, calculations, and technical documentation.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical design software, Microsoft Office, or other relevant engineering tools.
Strong analytical, technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of testing, commissioning, maintenance, and electrical safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure technical accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple project requirements.
