💼 Role: Junior Backend Engineer
We’re looking for a Junior Backend Engineer to join our small and growing development team.
We build and maintain our own Accounting & FinTech products, giving you the opportunity to work on real production systems, build features from the ground up, and grow with the team.
🔧 What You’ll Work On
• Build, improve and maintain backend services & REST APIs
• Work with databases, SQL, CRUD and database design
• Develop features for accounting and FinTech products
• Work with authentication, authorization and API integrations
• Handle debugging, troubleshooting and performance improvements
• Work with caching and basic scalability concepts
• Integrate third-party APIs
• Collaborate closely with a small engineering team
💻 What We’re Looking For
• 6 months–1 year of backend development experience
• Relevant internship or strong hands-on project experience is also welcome
• Working knowledge of Node.js (Express) and/or Python (FastAPI)
• Good understanding of:
o REST APIs & API design
o Request/response handling
o Validation & error handling
o SQL & databases
o Database connections
o Authentication & authorization
o Caching & basic performance concepts
o Git
o Debugging & troubleshooting
🤖 AI-Assisted Development
We actively use AI tools in our development workflow.
You should be comfortable using AI for coding, debugging and problem-solving, but you must also be able to:
• Understand and review AI-generated code
• Test and validate changes
• Write clean and maintainable code
• Understand existing functionality before making changes
• Ensure existing APIs, business logic, database behaviour and integrations are not unintentionally broken
We’re looking for engineers who use AI to become better developers — not developers who blindly copy AI-generated code.

• Basic frontend experience
• Docker / Cloud experience
• Background jobs, queues or asynchronous processing
• Third-party API integration experience
