Role: Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Generation

We are partnered with a leading engineering consultancy expanding its Power Generation team across the U.S.
As part of this growth, they’re hiring multiple Senior Electrical Engineers to support the early-stage engineering and development of some of the largest thermal power projects in the world. You’ll work across plant electrical systems, helping define electrical architecture, specify major equipment and support clients through key technical and procurement decisions.

Responsibilities 🔨
Support front-end and conceptual electrical engineering for thermal power generation projects.
Develop and review electrical system architecture, one-lines and three-line diagrams.
Support plant electrical systems including generators, GSUs and LV/MV distribution.
Develop technical specifications for switchgear, transformers, PDCs and other major electrical equipment.
Support the selection and procurement of long-lead electrical equipment.
Advise clients on key electrical and technical decisions throughout project development.
Qualifications 📑
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5-15 years of electrical engineering experience
MIN 1 year of thermal power generation experience (gas-fired, combined-cycle and/or simple-cycle or reciprocating engine generation) (more preferred)
Strong understanding of electrical systems within thermal power plants.
Experience with generators, GSUs and/or LV/MV plant electrical systems.
Experience developing or reviewing one-lines and electrical equipment specifications.
Understanding of front-end and conceptual electrical engineering.
Comfortable working with evolving project requirements and defining technical solutions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a consulting/client-facing environment.
Nice to Haves
Owner’s Engineer and/or engineering consulting experience.
Long-lead electrical equipment specification and procurement experience.
PE license and/or EIT certification.
