Accountant

Role Description This part-time remote Accountant role at OL Lyonnes focuses on supporting the organization’s financial operations with accuracy and integrity. The Accountant will prepare, review, and maintain general ledgers, journals, and financial records, ensuring transactions are recorded in compliance with relevant standards and internal policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing invoices and payments, reconciling bank and account statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and preparing periodic financial and management reports. The role also involves monitoring expenses, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and coordinating with internal stakeholders or external auditors as needed. The successful candidate will use accounting software and spreadsheets to analyze data, identify variances, and recommend improvements to financial processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundational accounting skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Proficiency with accounting and spreadsheet software, and the ability to work with digital tools in a remote environment.
Knowledge of basic tax regulations, budgeting principles, and standard accounting practices.
Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret financial data for decision-making.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Proven ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a part-time schedule.
Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably with remote or distributed teams, is beneficial.
