Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager / Architectural Consultant to lead architectural design development, technical coordination, stakeholder management, and project delivery across complex building and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architectural design development and design management from concept, planning, and documentation through construction and completion.
Translate client requirements, project briefs, and business objectives into functional, innovative, and commercially viable design solutions.
Manage design programmes, deliverables, budgets, design reviews, and project milestones.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure effective design integration.
Review and oversee architectural drawings, specifications, technical details, materials, and construction documentation.
Provide professional advice on design feasibility, constructability, regulatory compliance, value engineering, and project risks.
Lead design coordination meetings, technical workshops, site reviews, and issue-resolution processes.
Ensure designs meet applicable building codes, planning requirements, authority regulations, accessibility standards, and project specifications.
Support authority submissions, tender documentation, procurement, construction administration, and project handover.
Drive improvements in design quality, sustainability, functionality, cost efficiency, and project delivery performance.
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other key stakeholders.
Mentor and support architects, designers, and project team members.
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Building Design, or a related field.
Professional architectural qualification or registration is preferred, where applicable.
Proven experience in design management, architectural consultancy, architecture, project delivery, or a related senior role.
Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction processes, technical documentation, building materials, and multidisciplinary coordination.
Strong understanding of building regulations, planning requirements, authority approvals, construction standards, and compliance requirements.
Strong design, technical, project management, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant architectural software.
Experience working with clients, contractors, consultants, engineers, authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Experience across commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, retail, institutional, or large-scale development projects is preferred.
Proven track record of delivering projects to required design, quality, technical, budget, timeline, and compliance standards.
