VTEX Developer Team Lead

Excel Nearshore is looking for a VTEX Developer Team Lead to support our client’s B2B e-commerce business as they transition into the next phase of a strategic VTEX implementation. The platform already includes integrations with SAP ERP and InRiver PIM, and this role will lead the development team responsible for the platform going forward.
The selected professional will own the technical direction for ongoing enhancements, new feature development, and platform support. The role will also require becoming familiar with the existing SAP and InRiver integration points and ensuring the development team can effectively build and maintain the platform without redesigning those integrations from the ground up.
This is a fully remote and full-time position.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical work of the development team as it joins our client’s existing VTEX platform.
Get up to speed quickly on the current architecture, including the existing SAP ERP and InRiver PIM integrations, to work effectively within it.
Own technical decisions for new features, enhancements, and ongoing platform work.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact with the client’s team.
Guide and mentor the rest of the team (Developer, QA, Developer/ Release Manager) on implementation standards and day-to-day technical direction.
Identify and troubleshoot issues within existing SAP/ InRiver integration points as they arise.
Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with VTEX IO (headless/ serverless framework); VTEX certification preferred.
Experience working with or supporting SAP ERP-integrated ecommerce platforms (able to read/understand existing integration patterns, not necessarily design them from scratch).
Familiarity with PIM-driven storefronts; InRiver experience a plus, not required.
Prior technical lead experience on a B2B ecommerce platform, ideally in a support/ enhancement phase rather than greenfield build
Strong English communication skills for direct client interaction.
Able to ramp quickly on an existing system built by others.
Nice to have
Experience with B2B-specific commerce requirements (account hierarchies, contract pricing, quote workflows).
Prior experience in a nearshore/ distributed delivery model.

No
