Assistant Manager - Exim

Role Description The Assistant Manager – Exim will manage and coordinate export and import operations for GREW Solar’s solar PV modules and related components, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company policies. This full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad involves preparing and reviewing shipping and customs documentation, monitoring shipment schedules, and liaising with logistics partners, customs agents, and internal teams. The role includes tracking costs, optimizing freight and logistics arrangements, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records of all Exim transactions. The Assistant Manager – Exim will collaborate with procurement, sales, finance, and production teams to align Exim activities with project timelines and customer requirements, while supporting continuous improvement in processes and systems.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of export–import procedures, customs regulations, Incoterms, and international trade documentation.
Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, CHA/clearing agents, and regulatory authorities.
Proficiency in logistics planning, shipment tracking, and cost optimization for international transport.
Ability to work with ERP systems, MS Excel, and other tools for data management, reporting, and record-keeping.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, compliance checks, and contract terms review.
Effective communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle operational issues and streamline Exim processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field; a specialized diploma or certification in Exim/International Business is advantageous.
Prior experience in Exim operations within manufacturing, renewable energy, or related industries is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
