Power BI Reporting Analyst

Comcentric is seeking a Power BI Reporting Analyst for a remote, six-month contract opportunity with our client, Brightspeed. This role may extend based on business needs and performance.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and reports, using SQL and Power Query to transform data, and clearly communicating business insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Build, enhance, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that visualize key business metrics and trends.
Extract, clean, transform, and load data from multiple sources using Power Query.
Write SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and analyze data.
Perform ad hoc analysis to identify patterns, risks, opportunities, and actionable business insights.
Create executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that clearly explain findings and recommendations.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into practical reporting solutions.
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of reporting and analysis deliverables.
Balance multiple priorities and work effectively in an evolving, sometimes ambiguous environment.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI report and dashboard development.
3+ years of SQL experience for querying and analyzing data.
Strong Power Query experience, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Working knowledge of data modeling principles and reporting best practices.
Ability to translate complex data into concise, actionable insights for nontechnical stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Telecom industry experience.
Experience with AI-assisted analytics.
Experience with Tableau, Qlik Sense, or other data-visualization tools.
Additional Details
Remote within the United States
Six-month W2 contract, with potential extension
Standard business hours; occasional overtime may be available and paid
Compensation: $41/hr W2
No C2C or 1099 arrangements available
