Duration: 3 months with a strong possibility of extension
Compensation: Up to $50/hour W-2
Schedule: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern; occasional overtime may be needed when a migration runs long

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to support multiple telecommunications network-migration initiatives. This is a hands-on coordination role for someone who understands legacy transport and voice networks well enough to lead technical discussions, keep migration work on track, and represent leadership in conversations with Field Operations, Network Operations, Voice, Engineering, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
The right person combines strong project-management discipline with direct experience in TIRKS, circuit design/provisioning, and telephony or voice transport. You will support approximately eight concurrent projects, facilitate recurring migration calls, document decisions and action items, drive follow-up, and escalate risks promptly without disrupting progress.
Responsibilities
Facilitate technical migration and status calls with Field Operations, NOC, Voice, Engineering, vendors, and leadership.
Manage multiple concurrent migration workstreams, schedules, dependencies, risks, action items, and escalations.
Produce clear meeting minutes, call summaries, and follow-up communications.
Ensure owners complete assigned actions and escalate blockers early.
Apply technical understanding of circuit records, transport facilities, routing, provisioning, testing, and turn-up to keep discussions focused and accurate.
Coordinate readiness, testing, cutover, restoration, and post-migration follow-up activities.
Communicate status, risks, decisions, and required support to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Support process consistency and continuous improvement across migration activities.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with TIRKS in a telecommunications environment.
Direct experience with circuit design, provisioning, transport routing, circuit records, or network inventory.
Experience with telephony or voice transport, such as PSTN, voice trunks, 5ESS, DMS, SIP, E911/PSAP, voicemail, or related Voice/NOC operations.
Working knowledge of legacy and transport technologies such as TDM, Ethernet, SONET, DS0, DS1/T1, DS3/T3, DWDM, and/or optical transport.
Experience coordinating technical migration, provisioning, turn-up, cutover, restoration, or service-delivery work.
Ability to lead technical calls, manage competing priorities, document action items, and communicate effectively with both technical teams and leadership.
Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DACS, circuit layout records, complex schematics, or transport platforms such as Titan, Fujitsu, Ciena, Alcatel-Lucent, or Ribbon.
Experience supporting carrier, LEC, ILEC, CLEC, or enterprise telecommunications environments.
Project management certification is a plus.
