Web Developer

EtherUX is looking for a capable Website Developer who can take ownership of projects and work independently from brief to launch.
This is not a role for someone who needs step-by-step supervision. We’re looking for a developer who can understand requirements, make sensible technical decisions, solve problems independently and deliver polished, reliable websites.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain responsive, high-performing websites
Turn approved UI/UX designs into clean, functional web experiences
Work independently across development, testing and deployment
Manage website builds from initial brief through to launch
Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues and technical problems
Improve website speed, responsiveness, SEO fundamentals and usability
Integrate forms, APIs, analytics, CRM and other third-party tools
Maintain and improve existing client websites
Work closely with our design, creative and marketing teams
Recommend better technical approaches where appropriate rather than simply executing instructions
What we’re looking for
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Experience building modern, responsive websites
Good working knowledge of WordPress
Comfortable working with custom themes, plugins and website builders where required
Understanding of hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, website migrations and deployment
Familiarity with Git/version control
Good understanding of technical SEO and website performance
Ability to diagnose and fix problems without constant assistance
Strong attention to detail — what gets built should closely match the approved design
Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
Comfortable researching and learning independently when encountering something new
Experience with React, Next.js, PHP, APIs, WooCommerce, Shopify or other modern web technologies will be an advantage.

📍 Varanasi, India
