Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with strong expertise in Digital, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, and Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience architecting and supporting large-scale digital and e-commerce platforms, modern cloud and microservices architectures, and enterprise-wide technology solutions. The role requires the ability to work across multiple technology domains, lead architecture and design initiatives, evaluate technology and vendor solutions, and collaborate effectively with large cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and design of business and technology initiatives across multiple systems and applications, including E-Commerce, Browse, Cart, Checkout, Desktop Web, Mobile Web, iOS, Android, OMS, Inventory, Digital Marketing, and retail systems.
Lead vendor selection for new technologies, tools, and capabilities by defining selection criteria, RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes and making relevant vendor and product recommendations.
Serve as a Digital SME and lead enterprise-wide digital initiatives.
Drive innovative thinking and a continuous improvement mindset across the Digital domain, including Cloud Adoption, Microservices, GraphQL, Omni-Channel initiatives, Personalization, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.
Collaborate with other Architects to develop innovative, scalable, and timely solutions aligned with evolving business and technology needs.
Establish repeatable architecture guidelines and frameworks to ensure consistency and alignment across technology initiatives.
Partner with engineering, DevOps, database, networking, infrastructure, data, and enterprise data warehouse teams to drive successful solution implementation.
Lead architecture discussions, provide technical guidance and training, and define role-specific responsibilities to enable support teams to effectively operate delivered solutions.
Evaluate and recommend modern technologies and architectural approaches for digital experiences and enterprise capabilities.
Deep dive into solution-specific technical details while challenging assumptions and asking the right questions across cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience as an Architect or Domain Lead.
8+ years of experience in the Digital and E-Commerce domain, including E-Commerce, Web Architecture, Order Management Systems, Loyalty, and Digital Marketing.
Extensive knowledge and proven experience with Digital, E-Commerce, and Web technologies and tools, including E-Commerce platforms, Digital Marketing tools, and Order Management Systems.
Strong understanding of internet and web technologies and how web applications and services operate.
Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
Strong knowledge of RDBMS and modern NoSQL database design and querying.
Strong experience with Microservices and REST/GraphQL services.
Extensive experience supporting large-scale E-Commerce and Digital platforms.
Highly experienced in architecting modern Cloud and Microservices-based solutions.
Experience with one or more public cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience with modern Microservices architecture using Service Mesh, API Gateways, and cloud-native technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to next-generation technologies used to build digital experiences and capabilities, including AI and ML.
Ability to engage effectively with large cross-functional teams across Engineering, DevOps, Database, Networking, Infrastructure, Data, and EDW.
Strong ability to lead technical discussions, provide guidance and training, and define support responsibilities for enterprise solutions.
Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
