Role Description The Quality Assurance Specialist will support the reliability and performance of FlightGlobe’s app by designing and executing test plans for new features, updates, and bug fixes. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and maintaining test cases, performing manual and automated testing, documenting defects, and collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. The specialist will analyze user flows, verify live flight status and data accuracy, and help maintain quality standards across releases. This is a remote, contract role that requires consistent communication, clear documentation, and a focus on delivering a stable, user-friendly product.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
Understanding of Quality Management principles and best practices for maintaining consistent product standards.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or similar regulated quality frameworks, and ability to apply structured procedures to software quality processes.
Experience with Quality Auditing, including internal reviews, assessments of processes, and reporting on findings.
Familiarity with software testing tools, bug-tracking systems, and version control platforms.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical specifications and user requirements.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a remote, cross-functional team.
Prior experience testing mobile applications, especially in travel, mapping, or data visualization, is a plus.
Relevant certification or coursework in quality assurance, software testing, or a related discipline is beneficial.
