Assistant Manager- Purchase (Raw Materials)

Purpose:
Developing and executing purchasing strategies, tracking metrics to reduce expenses, negotiating deals, and managing vendors. Ensure clear requirements, forecast market trends, mitigate risks, and collaborate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for end-to-end Raw Material Procurement Operations.
· Ensure timely availability of raw materials as per production and inventory plans.
· Execute budget-based procurement through effective supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing.
· Manage complete procurement cycle from PR to PO, including commercial and payment terms finalization.
· Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base ensuring quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery.
· Drive cost reduction initiatives through negotiations, contracts, and alternate sourcing strategies.
· Monitor domestic and global raw material price trends for effective procurement planning and price discovery.
· Identify alternative materials and sourcing opportunities to improve manufacturing competitiveness.
· Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain teams for seamless operations.
· Support continuous improvement through standardization, process optimization, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
Key Requirements
Essential: Graduation: B. E./ B. Tech.
Desirable: Post Graduation: MBA- Operations/ Procurement/ Supply Chain with Good Academic Background will be added advantage.
Min 3+ years of Project Purchase experience (Preferred from Tyre Company)
