About the Role
An established national healthcare organization is seeking a Principal Incident Response Analyst to lead enterprise-wide cybersecurity incident response activities, strengthen security processes, and support remediation efforts across the organization.
This role works closely with information security teams, business units, and technology stakeholders to identify and respond to security threats, improve incident response capabilities, and communicate key risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Execute the enterprise-wide Incident Response Plan and recommend enhancements to improve security and response capabilities.
Monitor emerging security breaches and threats and ensure appropriate incident response processes are initiated.
Partner with business units and technology teams to drive enterprise-wide remediation activities.
Develop and deliver cybersecurity presentations and recommendations to senior leadership.
Implement security service audit schedules and review access authorizations.
Perform access control testing to identify security gaps and potential vulnerabilities.
Develop and maintain automated scripts, contingency plans, and programmed responses triggered when attacks are detected.
Collaborate with Information Security Architects, Information Security Engineers, and software and hardware stakeholders.
Integrate third-party attack monitoring and threat intelligence services into internal Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) communications and processes.
Stay current on evolving cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and incident response practices.
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, standards, and procedures.
Manage multiple projects and priorities through successful completion.
Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or business-related field such as:
Computer Science
Engineering
Mathematics
Statistics
Related discipline
6–8 years of relevant cybersecurity or incident response experience, with strong functional expertise.
Equivalent professional experience and demonstrated technical knowledge may be considered in place of formal education.
Technical Skills
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
Threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Indicators of compromise (IOCs).
Endpoint protection and enterprise detection and response (EDR) platforms such as CrowdStrike or Carbon Black.
Network and infrastructure technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related systems.
Security monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence processes.
Security auditing and access control testing.
Automated incident response and security scripting.
