Content Strategist & Scriptwriter (Instagram Reels)

We're hiring an Instagram Scriptwriter / Content Strategist.
Not a caption writer. Someone who can build the strategy and write the script that actually gets watched.
At Smashed, we create content and build personal brands for ambitious founders, coaches, consultants and advisors across LinkedIn and Instagram.
WHAT YOU'D DO
Build the content pillars and strategy for each founder/coach or advisor we work with based on their offer, their goals, their ICP and what they actually believe
Connect with client weekly for an hour and interview them, pick insights and turn them into watch-worthy scripts that sound like them and have high potential to go viral
Write 3-4 scripts a week per client, on time, without being chased
Brief the shoot. Setting, framing, b-roll, on-screen text, what gets filmed where and why
Brief the editor something they can cut without twenty questions
Read the numbers every week and change the plan when something's not working
Work directly with the founders on the account. No layers, no telephone game
WHAT YOU NEED
1 to 2 years writing short form scripts for Reels or Shorts, ideally for founders or personal brands
Live videos we can go watch. Not a doc of scripts that never got shot
A feel for how founders actually talk. Voice matching is most of this job
You understand hook rate, retention curves, saves and shares, and you know which one you're writing for before you start
Enough context of marketing, coaching, SaaS, D2C and the creator economy to not need the basics explained
The bandwidth to hold multiple clients at once without the quality slipping on anyone
