Citi is looking for a Vice President, Wealth Portfolio Growth Manager to lead portfolio strategy and client engagement across the full spectrum of wealth clients — from affluent individuals to ultra-high net worth clients and family offices. Sitting within Citi's Wealth business, which spans Citigold, Citi Private Bank, and Wealth at Work, this role has direct influence over assets under management growth, client revenue, and the overall health and productivity of the retail banking portfolio. You will guide a team, shape strategy, and deliver measurable outcomes that matter to clients and to the business.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of portfolio management strategy across all retail banking client segments, with a focus on growing assets under management, client revenue, and wealth engagement.
Direct a team of junior staff in delivering client relationship growth programs and early engagement initiatives that strengthen retention and deepen client commitment.
Oversee cross-selling programs for investment and insurance products, ensuring initiatives are well-targeted, effectively executed, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
Manage portfolio movement by identifying upselling opportunities to bring new funds into the bank while maintaining a healthy and well-qualified client base.
Design and deliver loyalty programs and client engagement events that build lasting relationships and reinforce value for high-net-worth and private banking clients.
Develop and refine the engagement and contact strategy for international private banking clients, identifying opportunities to deepen outreach and strengthen relationships.
Contribute to the strategy for growing the high-net-worth client base and facilitating client migration between retail and private banking.
Manage the allocated marketing budget with accountability for P&L performance, ensuring spend is optimized to deliver measurable business returns.
Required qualifications & skills
6 to 10 years of experience in banking with a focus on digital or electronic banking channels and a solid grounding in corporate banking and cash management practices.
Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute portfolio management strategy across multiple client segments in a retail or private banking environment.
Track record of leading teams to deliver client growth and engagement initiatives on time and to a high standard.
Ability to manage budgets with a clear focus on commercial outcomes and positive P&L contribution.
Competence in business analysis and data interpretation, with the ability to use insight to inform client strategy and portfolio decisions.
Self-directed work style with the ability to prioritize effectively, take initiative, and maintain high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
Beneficial skills & qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as finance, business, or economics.
Experience working with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth client segments in a wealth management or private banking context.
Familiarity with client migration strategies between retail and private banking, including segment qualification and portfolio segmentation approaches.
