Job Description - Optimization Specialist
Job Title: Optimization Specialist (4–6 Years Experience)
Location: Chennai/Bangalore (Hybrid)
Role Summary
Design and implement mathematical optimization solutions for complex supply chain, procurement, logistics, production planning and resource allocation problems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop MILP/LP/IP optimization models for business problems.
Build and maintain optimization solutions using Python.
Use PuLP and Gurobi to formulate, solve and tune optimization models.
Analyze business constraints and convert them into mathematical formulations.
Work with data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions.
Perform solver tuning, model validation and performance optimization.
Deploy optimization pipelines on cloud platforms when required.
Required Skills
4–6 years of experience in optimization.
Strong knowledge of Linear Programming, Integer Programming and Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP).
Hands-on experience with PuLP and Gurobi.
Strong Python programming skills.
Knowledge of supply chain optimization is preferred.
Knowledge of Pyomo/OR-Tools is an advantage.
Experience with SQL and Snowflake is desirable.
