Role Description The Database Administrator – SQL will manage, monitor, and optimize SQL databases that support Nway’s ERP and related platforms. This full-time, on-site role is based in Indore and involves handling day-to-day database operations, including installation, configuration, backup, and recovery. The person in this role will design and maintain database schemas, implement replication strategies, and ensure high availability and performance. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving database issues, tuning queries, maintaining security and access controls, and supporting development and implementation teams with data-related needs. The Database Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to safeguard data integrity and contribute to continuous improvement of database infrastructure.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Database Administration and Databases, with experience managing SQL-based environments.
Proficiency in Database Design, including schema creation, normalization, indexing, and performance-oriented architecture.
Hands-on experience with Replication and high-availability configurations in SQL database systems.
Effective Troubleshooting skills for performance issues, errors, and database-related incidents.
Solid understanding of SQL programming, query optimization, and stored procedures.
Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, data security, and access control best practices.
Experience working with ERP or enterprise applications is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and work in a fast-moving on-site environment in Indore.
