About the role

We are looking for an experienced GCP Cloud Architect with 10+ years of IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in designing and delivering enterprise cloud solutions. The candidate should have proven architecture and technical leadership experience, with the ability to lead technical teams and drive complex cloud initiatives.
Responsiblities-
Design and define scalable, secure, and highly available GCP architectures for enterprise applications.
Lead cloud migration, modernization, integration, and transformation initiatives.
Work closely with engineering, application, DevOps, security, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Provide technical direction and lead development/engineering teams on architecture and implementation.
Establish cloud architecture standards, best practices, security controls, and governance.
Review existing systems and recommend improvements around performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
Create architecture diagrams, technical designs, solution documents, and implementation roadmaps.
Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide hands-on architectural guidance.
Required skills -
10+ years of overall IT experience, with significant experience in cloud architecture.
Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and enterprise cloud architecture.
Experience with GCP Compute, Kubernetes/GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC, Load Balancing and related services.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, monitoring, disaster recovery, and high availability.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Experience designing microservices and API-based architectures.
Strong experience in technical/team leadership and stakeholder management.
Important: This is primarily an Architect / Technical Lead role, not a traditional managerial position. Candidates should be comfortable remaining technically involved while leading architecture and engineering initiatives.
