About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Design & Development Engineer with strong experience in mechanical design, product development, and engineering mechanisms. The role involves designing and developing mechanical systems, supporting prototyping and manufacturing, and working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop mechanical systems, structures, and mechanisms
• Create and review detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings
• Perform/support FEA and structural analysis using relevant engineering tools
• Work on folding mechanisms, hydraulics, motion-control systems, and related mechanical assemblies
• Support prototyping, testing, validation, and manufacturing activities
• Coordinate with internal and cross-functional teams for design implementation
• Contribute to design improvements, troubleshooting, and product development activities
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior design team members where required
Required Skills & Qualifications
• B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and development
• Strong hands-on experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or AutoCAD
• Knowledge of FEA/ANSYS and structural analysis
• Understanding of mechanical mechanisms, hydraulics, and motion control
• Experience with product development, prototyping, and manufacturing support
• Strong problem-solving, design interpretation, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience in defence systems, specialised engineering products, or complex mechanical mechanisms will be an advantage..
