This international software company specialises in complex e-commerce solutions and system integrations for high-volume B2B clients across retail, manufacturing and distribution. Its client portfolio includes globally recognised brands such as Universal Music Group and Estée Lauder.
The engineering teams build scalable Shopify Plus solutions and integrate them with systems such as ERP, WMS, POS and accounting platforms. Projects range from real-time inventory synchronisation and financial reconciliation to middleware for stores containing hundreds of thousands of products.
The company has engineering teams in the Netherlands, Canada and Vietnam. Its Dutch headquarters are located in Rijswijk. Despite its international scale, the culture remains pragmatic, entrepreneurial and highly technical.
Developers are trusted to take ownership, challenge existing approaches and introduce new technologies or working methods. You will have the opportunity to lead technical initiatives and contribute to the continued development of the engineering organisation.
Recent projects include:
Connecting Shopify Plus with ERP platforms such as NetSuite and SAP
Building real-time product, pricing and inventory synchronisation
Developing integrations for multi-region and high-SKU storefronts
Creating financial reconciliation tooling for accounting platforms
Building internal developer tools and reusable NPM packages
Supporting and mentoring engineering teams across different regions
Your role
As a Full Stack Developer with a strong backend focus, you will design and develop reliable integrations, microservices and custom applications. You will work on the technical layer connecting e-commerce platforms to business-critical systems.
Most of your work will focus on backend development with TypeScript and Node.js. Depending on your experience and interests, you may also contribute to frontend applications built with React and Remix.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, building and maintaining scalable backend integrations
Developing microservices, middleware and custom applications
Integrating Shopify with ERP, WMS, POS and accounting platforms
Working with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, GraphQL and REST APIs
Improving the reliability and performance of real-time data flows
Contributing to the company’s monorepo, shared libraries and internal tooling
Participating in technical scoping, sprint planning and code reviews
Collaborating with international engineering teams
Optionally contributing to frontend solutions using React, Remix and Shopify Polaris
Taking ownership of technical decisions and proposing improvements
What you bring
At least three years of professional experience as a backend or full stack developer
Strong development experience with TypeScript and Node.js
Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, REST APIs and GraphQL
Experience building integrations, APIs or distributed backend systems
An understanding of scalable software architecture and reliable data processing
A proactive mindset and the confidence to take ownership
Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
Professional proficiency in English
Residence in the Netherlands and valid authorisation to work here
What you can expect
A gross annual salary of up to €90,000, based on 40 hours per week
The option to work 32 or 40 hours per week
