Job Responsibilities:
· Lead structural and dynamic analysis projects for the reactor, internal components, and support structures to demonstrate compliance with ASME BPVC Section III.
· Evaluate primary & secondary stresses and fatigue in reactor internals resulting from mechanical and thermal loadings.
· Execute analyses for assigned projects using sound engineering principles, while adhering to established business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
· Prepare technical reports, calculation packages, and documentation supporting regulatory and design requirements.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, system engineers, project managers, and external partners to complete assigned design activities on time and on budget.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
· Proven experience in mechanical design and project execution.
· Strong, broad knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
· At least 10 years of experience performing structural analysis, working knowledge on ASME Code Sec III is highly preferred.
· Minimum of 8 years of experience conducting finite element analysis (FEA), including evaluation of mechanical and thermal loadings under both static and transient conditions, preferably using ANSYS Workbench or APDL.
· Programming or data analysis experience using tools such as MATLAB or Python. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
· Ability to clearly document engineering analyses and communicate technical findings through reports and presentations. Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
