Role Description The Vacation Account Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for managing client vacation accounts from initial inquiry through post-trip follow-up. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with clients to understand their travel preferences, researching destinations and packages, and preparing customized itineraries and proposals. The role involves booking travel components such as flights, accommodations, transfers, and activities, while ensuring accuracy, budget alignment, and compliance with vendor policies. The Vacation Account Manager will maintain regular communication with clients, provide updates, resolve issues, and coordinate with travel partners to deliver a smooth travel experience. This role also includes maintaining detailed records in booking and CRM systems, monitoring payments and deadlines, and supporting clients interested in starting their own travel business through guidance and resources.
Qualifications
Client service and relationship management skills, including active listening, consultative communication, and a customer-first mindset.
Organizational and administrative skills, such as managing multiple accounts, tracking bookings and payments, and maintaining accurate records.
Research and planning abilities, including destination research, itinerary building, and comparing travel options to meet client needs.
Sales and business development skills, including upselling relevant services, nurturing leads, and supporting prospective travel business owners.
Digital proficiency with online booking tools, CRM systems, email, and virtual meeting platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present travel options clearly and professionally.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Previous experience in travel, hospitality, tourism, or account management is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in travel or hospitality are a plus.
