Regional Self-Employed Sales Executive
Regional Sales Area | 30% First-Year Commission | 10% Recurring Commission | Uncapped Earnings
About SAEL
SAEL is building the next generation of Safeguarding Continuity.
Our secure platform helps schools, nurseries, pre-schools, childminders and other childcare organisations maintain continuity of important safeguarding information as children move between settings.
We are expanding our presence across the UK and are looking for experienced, commercially minded Regional Self-Employed Sales Executives to develop SAEL's presence within defined regional sales areas.
The Opportunity
Each Sales Executive will be responsible for developing business within an allocated regional sales area, identifying prospective customers, building relationships with decision-makers and converting opportunities into paying SAEL customers.
This is an autonomous, self-employed opportunity. You will decide how, when and where you generate your business within your region, while SAEL provides the product, training, sales materials, demonstrations and commercial support.
We are looking for experienced sales professionals who are confident creating their own opportunities and who want their earning potential to reflect the business they generate.
Regional Sales Areas
SAEL will establish regional sales areas across the UK, with each Sales Executive allocated a primary territory to develop.
Regional areas may include a combination of counties or other defined geographic areas depending on market size and demand.
Your role is to build SAEL's presence within your allocated region and develop relationships with organisations operating there.
Regional allocation provides clear focus and account ownership while giving you the freedom to develop your market in the way that works best for you.
Strategic national opportunities, existing SAEL relationships, inbound opportunities and larger multi-regional organisations may be managed separately by SAEL.
Commission
You will receive:
30% commission on the first-year subscription value of every new customer you personally source and close
10% recurring commission on qualifying subscription renewals
There is:
No commission cap
No limit on the number of customers you can sign
Our pricing varies by organisation type and size, creating opportunities ranging from individual settings through to substantial multi-site agreements.
For example:
£550 annual subscription → £165 commission
£895 annual subscription → £268.50 commission
£1,495 annual subscription → £448.50 commission
A larger agreement covering multiple settings, such as a MAT, academy trust, nursery group, childcare group or childminder agency, can generate thousands of pounds in commission from a single deal.
These are representative pricing bands rather than fixed limits. Actual contract values may vary according to organisation size, structure and requirements.
What You'll Do
Within your regional sales area, you will:
Identify and develop new business opportunities
Build and manage your own prospect pipeline
Establish relationships with decision-makers and senior stakeholders
Introduce SAEL and communicate its value proposition
Arrange and deliver product demonstrations
Understand prospective customers' safeguarding and operational requirements
Manage opportunities from initial contact through to close
Develop long-term commercial relationships
Provide market insight and customer feedback to the SAEL team
Experience We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced sales professional with a proven record of generating new business.
You should be confident managing the full sales cycle independently, from prospecting and qualification through to demonstration, negotiation and close.
Strong candidates will typically have experience in:
B2B sales and business development
Full-cycle new business sales
SaaS, technology, compliance, professional services or consultative sales
Selling to senior decision-makers
Building and managing their own sales pipeline
Winning larger or multi-site accounts
Developing relationships across multiple stakeholders
Working autonomously as an independent sales professional, consultant, contractor or representative
Experience within education, early years, childcare, safeguarding, compliance or EdTech is highly desirable.
An existing network within your regional market would be a significant advantage.
The Ideal Candidate
You are commercially driven, confident and credible when speaking with senior professionals.
You are comfortable opening conversations with organisations that have never heard of SAEL, understanding their needs and progressing opportunities towards a commercial decision.
You are proactive, organised and capable of managing your own business development activity independently.
You may already have an established network within schools, MATs, nurseries, childcare organisations or related sectors and see the opportunity to build a significant portfolio of SAEL customers within your region.
Essential
Proven sales or business development experience
Demonstrable success winning new business
Strong prospecting and relationship-building ability
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong negotiation and closing ability
Confidence engaging senior decision-makers
Ability to manage a personal sales pipeline independently
Strong commercial awareness
Excellent organisation and self-management

Desirable

Experience selling to schools, MATs, academy trusts or childcare groups
Experience winning multi-site or high-value accounts
Understanding of safeguarding, child protection or educational compliance
Previous experience as a self-employed sales professional or independent consultant
Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport for face-to-face meetings where appropriate
What SAEL Provides
Full product and sales onboarding
Demonstration accounts
Sales and marketing materials
Pricing and product information
Sales guidance and support
Access to the SAEL team
Defined regional sales areas
Clear account ownership arrangements
Transparent commission structure
Why SAEL?
Safeguarding is a critical responsibility for every organisation working with children.
SAEL addresses a specific challenge: maintaining continuity of important safeguarding information when children move between settings.
We are building a proposition around Safeguarding Continuity, helping organisations connect information across the child's journey while working alongside the safeguarding systems and processes they already use.
For the right salesperson, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a defined regional market, build their own customer base and earn both immediate and recurring commission from the organisations they bring to SAEL.
Apply
We are looking to appoint experienced independent Sales Executives across a number of regional sales areas throughout the UK.
Build your region. Build your customer base. Build recurring income with SAEL.
