Role Description The Assistant Manager will support branch operations and customer service functions at the Srinagar branch in a full-time, on-site capacity. Responsibilities include overseeing daily banking activities, assisting in managing staff schedules, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards. The role involves helping customers with account-related queries, loan applications, and digital banking services, as well as resolving issues promptly and professionally. The Assistant Manager will contribute to achieving branch targets, preparing periodic reports, and implementing process improvements. This position requires close collaboration with branch leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality banking experience.
Qualifications
Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage diverse customers professionally.
Solid knowledge of retail banking operations, including accounts, loans, and basic digital banking services.
Competence in compliance and risk awareness, including adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and team coordination skills to support staff and collaborate with stakeholders.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle operational issues and support decision-making.
Proficiency with standard office software and banking systems; comfort working with data and reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; relevant banking certifications are an advantage.
Prior experience in branch banking, financial services, or customer-facing roles is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Srinagar, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and uphold high ethical and professional standards.
