Facilities Management Director

Role Description The Facilities Management Director role is a part-time, remote position responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and performance of facilities operations across the organization’s sites. Day-to-day tasks include developing and implementing facility management (FM) strategies, supervising maintenance activities, and ensuring facilities support safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The role involves managing preventive maintenance programs, optimizing space utilization, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors for repairs, upgrades, and services. The director will track budgets, monitor facility-related expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards. This position also contributes to policies, documentation, and reporting related to facilities performance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Strong facility management foundation, including Facilities Operations and Facility Management (FM) to ensure effective oversight of all sites.
Experience managing and supervising teams and vendors, demonstrating solid Supervisory Skills and stakeholder coordination.
Proficiency in Budgeting for facilities, including cost tracking, forecasting, and optimizing facility-related spending.
Hands-on experience with Preventive Maintenance planning and execution to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards relevant to facilities operations.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong organizational and communication skills.
Background in facilities management, engineering, or related field; professional FM certifications are an advantage.
Experience supporting technology or semiconductor environments is beneficial.
