Finance Director

Role Description The Finance Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to support QAI Semiconductors’ growth and innovation objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing financial planning and budgeting, monitoring cash flow and working capital, and reviewing financial statements and management reports. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and supporting internal controls and risk management. The Finance Director will partner with senior leadership to analyze financial performance, evaluate investment decisions, and contribute to long-term financial strategy. This role also includes managing stakeholder communications on financial matters and supporting fundraising or strategic partnership discussions as needed.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance with demonstrated experience in corporate or technology-sector finance leadership.
Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting, scenario analysis, and resource allocation.
Expertise in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements for internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in Financial Reporting, including regulatory compliance, management reporting, and MIS dashboards.
Advanced Analytical Skills to assess performance metrics, evaluate business cases, and support data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of accounting principles, tax and regulatory frameworks relevant to semiconductor or technology companies.
Experience with financial controls, risk management, and governance practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CFA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent experience in a senior finance role.
Prior exposure to R&D-intensive or high-growth technology organizations is an advantage.
