What you'll do
● Build and maintain backend services in Node.js and TypeScript
● Implement and integrate payment flows: pre-authorisation, capture, payouts, and reconciliation
● Work with our payment and settlement stack (payment gateway, SPEI rails, ledger, invoicing)
● Build and consume REST APIs, including OCPI integrations with charging networks
● Handle the money-movement edge cases properly: failed captures, partial sessions refunds, idempotency, double-charge prevention
● Write clean, tested, well-documented code and take real ownership of what you ship
Required:
● 2+ years building production backend services in Node.js and TypeScript
● Hands-on experience with payments or fintech: you've integrated a payment provider, handled transactions, or worked on financial flows before
● Solid understanding of REST API design and integration
● Relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
● Care about correctness. You understand that in money systems, edge cases aren't optional
● Comfortable working independently in a small team and communicating clearly in English
Nice to have:
● Experience with a payment gateway or PSP integration (Stripe, OpenPay, or similar)
● Familiarity with ledger or double-entry accounting systems
● AWS (deployment, basic infrastructure)
● Experience with SPEI / Mexican payment rails, or other local payment systems
● Exposure to OCPI, EV charging, or mobility platforms.
● Skilled with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) and able to ship faster with them
Experience: 2 to 4 years
Location: Remote
Shift time: 6am to 4pm
Employment Type: Contract (Duration: 6 to 12 months)
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days
